When people ask me what I shoot, I never know quite how to describe my signature photography collections except to say that I believe that "fine art" is found in life itself, in the way we move and live, in the beauty of our being just who we were created to be. With a little bit of styling and creative collaboration, the images I make for this sensual collection take portraiture and lifestyle photography to an almost-reverent level. Whether I am shooting lifestyle work for brands and social media content or creating portraits meant to be hung on a wall for a very long time, I'm trying to infuse my work with inspiration from the Old Masters, the ones who dared to paint reality into their artwork when it simply hadn't been done before. It's a call I take seriously, styling real life into an image-saturated world.

More than any other collection, my Signature collections hold my artist's heart, my attempt to say that "This life is for living, and it is a beautiful life. Won't you step into it with me?" 

But that all sounds a little funny when I'm talking to the businessman on the airplane, so I usually just offer a smiling, "I photograph everything."

But actually, I do photograph everything. I am most inspired by story, stories triggering feeling for me. The wind and the sky and the sunrise and the sea, beautiful art and beautiful lives lived around the art – these all spark my creativity. I also pay attention to my own story and surroundings. I never want to be “inspired” so far out of reality that I don’t honor it in some way. I want to bring beauty into the world, not separate myself from it with my art. I love seeing the world in a new way from behind my camera, and I love being with people (introvert or not!), and I love telling stories with my images about the people I admire and the things they make and do. It's a study for me, of what it means to be alive and in the world.
